
Hello friends, long time no blog post! December 2022 was a whirlwind – full of blessings and change. I had a surgery from which I’m healing from and really doing well! I’m going to break down some highlights from 2022 for you! And some goals for 2023!
2022 Highlights:
- Moving to Chicago 🌃- adapting to a new setting and selling/staging a home! What a crazy process – I had to trust what the Lord was doing as we considered multiple states and jobs for my husband. I will admit a lot of the process I struggled with worry and looking back much of it was no use! The move has been a blessing.
- Travel 🧳 I got to go to Seattle to see family, Detroit about 5 times to go back home, I went to Florida – New York City and a lovely weekend getaway to a resort in Northern Michigan.
- I saw my first Broadway show 🎭- Hamilton which I loved! And then two more: Aladdin and The Devils Wears Prada! Such fun to take in the theatre!
- We celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary 💒
- I found myself growing in faith a lot this year and it was very personal but very important! Learning to lean on Jesus and really know he’s on the walk with me has been the most rewarding thing I think I’ve ever done. ✝️
- We are debt free completely! 💰
- I’ve started in person Pilates reformer classes and challenging myself and physically! 🧘♀️
- I read 15 books!! After not being much of a reader in past few years 📚

2023 Goals:
- Socialize more! I ended 2022 making some new friends and growing my network. Being a millennial in a new city it is so easy to make excuses but in person friendships are vital and feed the soul! 👯♀️
- Get settled into my new home! And make it feel warm and cozy! 🏡
- Try some new activities as a couple- cooking classes, rock climbing, golf to name a few 🏌️♀️
- Continue prioritizing my role as a wife and companion to my husband highly! ❤️
- Read more than I did last year even by 1 book 📚
- Engage more in community or parish based volunteer work that’s meaningful to me!
- Get back into creative hobbies like beading and paper crafts 🎨
- Try a new self care activity like a deep tissue massage! 🧖♀️
- Try to bring new clothing/accessories into my life more thoughtfully!
- Be more active in writing and sharing online 💻
